G/P galleryは、2008年7月7日、アートコンプレックス NADiff A/P/A/R/T 2Fにオープンした小さなギャラリーです。G/Pはその発足以来、新人写真家の発掘・育成、THE EXPOSED 展やポートフォリオ・レヴューのオーガナイズなど着実な活動をしてまいりましたが、いよいよ日本の写真を本格的に活性化させるべく、自身のギャラリー開設に踏み切ることに致しました。
後藤繁雄をディレクターとして、ギャラリーを深井佐和子がまとめ、セールスマネジメントを丸山順一郎が担当します。寺本一生（PUNCTUM）との提携関係は今後も継続していきます。
今後は継続的なギャラリー運営のほか、写真展、ポートフォリオレビュー、アワードなどの企画。そして2008年の11月にパリで開催される ParisPHOTOに出展が決定しております。（1）日本の実力写真家・若手写真家を発掘・育成し世界で活躍させ、（2）写真というアートフォームについての考察、批評を通してより多くの人にその魅力を伝え、（3）日本と世界の写真家たちの交流、文化的交換を通じて世界のコンテンポラリー・フォトの最先端をリードしていく。以上3つのコンセプトをコアとして、活動していきたいと思います。「G/P」の意味は、「Graphic / Photography」です。

G/P is delighted to annouce that we have opened a small gallery space in the new art complex bulding NADiff A/P/A/R/T in Ebisu on 7th of July, 2008. From its very beginning, G/P has discovered and encouraged young Japanese photographers, while organizing the platform for the new photographers such as THE EXPOSED shows and the portfolio reviews opened for young photographers. Motivated by the aspiration to invigorate Japan-ese photography to the next phase, we decided to open our own gallery in Tokyo. I, Shigeo Goto is the director, Sawako Fukai organizes the gallery and Junichiro Maruyama is the sales manager. Issei Teramoto, the director of PUNCTUM and G/P will stay in our constant partnership.
G/P gallery's mission is as the followings: 1) to discover, foster and promote Japanese powerful and young photographers, 2) to generate the appreciation for photography as an art form through discussions and criticism, 3) to be at the frontier of contemporary photography through having activate cultural exchanges between international
phortographers. While operating the gallery, we will host exhibitions, portfolio reviews and awards. In November 2008, we also are participating ParisPHOTO2008.

1954年大阪府出身。「独特編集」をモットーに、写真集、アートブックを数多く制作。代表作に『観光』（細野晴臣＋中沢新一）、『TOKYO LOVE』（ナン・ゴールディン＋荒木経惟）、『skmt1・2』（坂本龍一）など。また、『エスクァイア日本版』『high fashion』でアーティスト・インタビューを行うとともに、展覧会企画・キュレーション、アートアワードトーキョー（A.A.T.）・コミッティ、magical, ARTROOMスーパーバイザー、AMUSE ARTJAMなど、コンテンポラリーアートの動向に深くかかわる。
自著に『写真という名の幸福な仕事』、『ノマディズム』（アートビートパブリッシャーズ刊）ほか多数。
Chief Director
Born in 1954 in Osaka, Japan. Editor, creative director and head of ASP department in University of the Art and Design Kyoto.
With his conception of "the unique way of editing", Goto has produced numerous photography books and artists' books including KANKOU (Haruomi Hosono + Shinichi Nakazawa), Tokyo Love (Nan Goldin + Nobuyoshi Araki) and skmt (Ryuichi Sakamoto).
He has authored several autobiographies on his life and photography, intimacy and itinerary such as HAPPINESS OF PHOTOGRAPHS 1990-2002 and his most recent publication is Nomadism.
