うつゆみこ個展『はこぶねのそと 2』開催のお知らせ
G/P galleryは、開廊以来、積極的に国内外の注目すべきコンテンポラリー・フォトグラファーを取り上げて参りましたが、2010年のスタートを飾る展覧会として、「はこぶねのそと 2 」を開催いたします。うつゆみこは、第26回ひとつぼ展において評論家たちの度肝を抜き、ここ数年の作品で話題を集め人々の注目の的となってきました。ひとつぼ展後、国内外（ピンヤオフォトフェスティバル / 中国、デェクフォ
トフェスティバル / 韓国、ルーメンギャラリー（個展） / ハンガリー）などで話題を呼び、昨年のParisPhoto 08では、Le Figaro紙やART ACTUAL誌などのメディアでも「日本から初めてユーモアのある写真が登場した」と賞賛を浴びました。また、2009年11月のParis Photoでも「イイダコ・ポートレイト」
をはじめとする新作群を発表し、世界のコレクター、批評家たちを魅了しました。
今回のG/P galleryでの展覧会は、うつの初本格的写真集の出版を記念して、初期から2009年までの作品を集めた展示を行います。ますます見る者をその魅惑の世界へと引きずり込むうつゆみこの写真を、是非御堪能ください。

The multilateral platform for upcoming contemporary photographers, G/P gallery is proud to start the new decade with the solo exhibition and the book launch of Yumiko Utsu's 'OUT of ARK'.
The photographs of Yumiko Utsu surged in popularity since her stunning appearance at the 26th Hitotsubo Award in 2006. In following years Utsu has been presenting her photographic installation in Pinyao Photo Festival (China), Deagu Photo Biennial (Korea) and Lumen gallery (Hungry), as well as at the world largest photo art fair Paris Photo 08. Le Figaro reviewed her presentation at the fair as "so humorous as unparalleled in the history of Japanese Photography". We believe it is only the matter of time before her rise in the international photography, as it was evidenced with the high repute and expectations for her new works among the photo collectors and critics at last year's Paris Photo.
This exhibition will feature the selection of Utsu's photography from her very early days to 2009. We are very honor to invite you for the beautiful and entrancing world of Yumiko Utsu's photography.

永坂嘉光写真展『神護寺・空海の輝き』

この度G/P galleryでは、高野山に生まれ育ち、聖地・高野山の「自然と精神」を撮り続ける名匠・永坂嘉光が新たに撮りおろした京都・神護寺の国宝・五大虚空菩薩を中心とする写真展を開催いたします。神護寺は真言密教の開祖・空海が824年に開いた古刹であり、2015年の空海生誕1300年大遠忌に先立ち、2009年秋には、入山1200年祭が行われ、永坂嘉光は写真家として初めて、神護寺の秘仏撮影を許可されました。本展覧会は、神護寺にて11月に行われた写真展の巡回となり、五大像を中心に、金剛界曼荼羅など約7点の写真から構成されます。G/P galleryでは、2009年11月・パリのブティックMaisons des Rêvesでのデモンストレーション、引き続いてのParis Photo 2009において永坂嘉光作品を展示・販売し、好評を得ることができました。ぜひこの機会にご高覧いただければと存じます。
Yoshimitsu Nagasaka Photographs "JINGOJI"
We are proud to present the new works of national treasures in Jingoji (Jingo-temple) including Godai-Koku-Bosatsu photographed by Yoshimitsu Nagasaka, who has been taking photography of Mt. Koya for a long time.
Jingoji is a Buddhist temple started by Kukai, (Kobo Daishi; founder of the Shingon sect) in 824. In autumn of 2009, cerebrating 1200 years since its start, Nagasaka became the first photographer who was allowed to take pictures of National treasures in Jingoji. This exhibition consists of 7 works including Godai and Kongokai-Mandara. We have presented Nagasaka's photography in Paris Photo 2009 and the presentation in the boutique Maisons des Rêves in this autumn and they have received high praise from international audiences. Please take this opportunity to enjoy his photography portraying the presence of national treasures of Jingoji.

この度G/P galleryでは、アメリカ写真界の巨匠スティーブン・ショアの日本での初個展を開催することになりました。スティーブン・ショアは1947年NY生まれ。若き日にはアンディ・ウォーホルのファクトリーに関わり、今やエグルストンと並ぶ「ニューカラーフォト」の雄として、世界のコンテンポラリーフォトに大きな影響を与えています。
今回の個展では2003年より最も精力的に行っている新プロジェクトを発表します。ショアはアップル社の「iPhoto」サービスを利用した作品集を現在までに80冊制作しています。オンデマンド印刷を用いた写真集で自らの代表的な作品を反復／再検証するなど、作家の新たなコンセプチュアルな試みを見ることができるこのシリーズは現在メトロポリタン美術館で全作の収蔵が進められています。今回はシリーズ中10冊をエディション各20にて展示・販売いたします。日本初公開となる本作品をぜひご高覧ください。

Stephen Shore: "Print-on-Demand"
G/P gallery is delighted to announce the first solo exhibition of the master of American photography Stephen Shore. Stephen Shore was born in 1947, in New York. Spent his youth with the members of Andy Worhol's Factory, Shore is now one of the prominent figures of 'New Colour Photography' along with William Eggleston. His photography has a significant influence upon the contemporary photography.
This exhibition will present Shore's latest project that the photographer has been keenly experimenting since 2003. Shore has been making 80 artist books using Apple's iPhoto program. The books evidence the artist's very conceptual approach - the 'on-demand' printing service allows the artist to re-examine and reprise his well-known pieces in a book format. New York Metropolitan Museum has started to house all books of this series. G/P gallery will present 10 of the books for the first time in Japan. Each book is edition of 20, and available for purchase.

鈴木親『CITE』開催のお知らせ
G/P galleryでは、8月21日（金）より鈴木親の個展を開催いたします。鈴木親は、90年代のはじめ頃から写真活動を始め、エレン・フライスとオリビエ・ザムという2人の優れた編集者によって生みだされたフランスの雑誌『PURPLE』マガジンを拠点に写真を発表し続け、国際的に高い評価を勝ち得てきました。本展覧会では、コマーシャリズムとしてのファッションフォトでもなければ、単なるドキュメントでもないリアルピープルたちの肖像、あるいは都市の光景を独特のまなざしと速度で切り取った「鈴木親の写真」の最新作を展示いたします。また、同時に鈴木親写真集『LUMEN#6 CITE 』を発表いたします。併せてお楽しみください。

G/P gallery is proud to present an exhibition of Chikashi Suzuki from 21st of August, 2009. Chikashi Suzuki started to work as a photographer in early 90s. His photographs were brought up by the founding editors of the French magazine Purple, Olivier Zahm and Elein Fleiss. Having the magazine as the playground of his activity as a photographer, Suzuki has been highly credited for his contributions for the magazine and other works. His portraits of real people and urban spectacles are neither mere documentary photographs nor fashion photographs as agency of commercialism. In this exhibition, his new works will be shown and the new photobook "LUMEN#6 CITE" will be published.

この度G/P gallery では、フィンランド・ヘルシンキスクールの一人として注目される、エア・バスコの写真展を行います。エア・バスコは1980 年ヘルシンキに生まれ、そしてヘルシンキ芸術デザイン大学に学び、現在もヘルシンキを拠点として活動しています。武蔵野美術大学に留学中に東京で制作した夜景の作品や、模型を使った作品など、光が特徴的なそのアブストラクト・フォトグラフィは注目を浴びており、ベルリンのGallery TaiK やスウェーデン、ヘルシンキなど活発に個展やグループ展に参加、また出版物にも多く参加しています。今回G/P gallery では、ギャラリーディレクターであります後藤繁雄が「企画協力」の立場から関わる資生堂ギャラリーでの展示『ヘルシンキ・スクール写真展ー風景とその内側』の開催期間にあわせ、エア・バスコの写真を日本に紹介させていただきます。今回は作家も来日し、期間中トークショーも予定しておりますので、ぜひともご高覧ください。

G/P gallery is proud to presents the solo exhibition of Ea Vasko, one of the most representative artists
in "Helsinki School" in Finland.
Vasko was born in 1980 in Helsinki, Finland. Studied in University of Art and Design Helsinki and lives and works in Helsinki. Known with her abstract photography with her approach to Light using Maketto including her works taken in Tokyo when she was studied in Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan from 2005 -2006. She has been introduced in Gallery Taik and other galleries in Berlin, Sweden and also participated in many publications. Shigeo Goto, the gallery director of G/P gallery is working for the exhibition of Helsinki School "Helsinki School -Internal and External Landscapes" as a Project cooperator which is going to take place on 26th of June in Shiseido Gallery in Tokyo. In the duration of Shiseido, we are honored to introduce another artist from Helsinki School in G/P gallery. The artist will visit the gallery from Helsinki and gallery talk is scheduled in the gallery.

『 ヘルシンキ・スクールは、ヘルシンキ芸術デザイン大学の写真科の教師や生徒、卒業生たちに名づけられたものです。大学でつくられたギャラリーを通して、作品集が出版され、国際アートフェア等で作品が紹介されたことによって注目を集めるようになりました。ヘルシンキ・スクールの写真は、北欧の気候にもとづく光の使い方、独特な風景から生み出される物語性などが特徴といえます。

上田義彦個展『QUINAULT』開催のお知らせ
G/P gallery は昨年７月、上田義彦の個展『骨と石器』でオープンしました。それ以降も、上田義彦の作品を、イギリスのマイケル・ホッペンギャラリーとの協働のもと、Paris Photo、photo miami などで、精力的に世界に紹介してきました。そして今回、上田義彦が1990 年代初頭に撮った名作『QUINAULT』 が、上田義彦自身のセレクトによる７点の「ニューエディション」として、ここに登場します。アメリカ・インディアンにより「QUINAULT」と名づけられた森を撮影したこの美しいシリーズは、写真集化され、今も国内外で高い評価を得ており、コレクターたちからもニューエディションが待望されていました。珠宝とも言えるこのシリーズを御披露目させていただきますので、ぜひ御高覧たまわればと思います。会期中、上田義彦によるトークショーも予定しております。
※ 上田義彦は本年11 月のParis Photo2009 においても、G/Pgallery より出展し、『QUINAULT』を発表する予定です。

Yoshihiko Ueda Exhibition: QUINAULT
Since our grand opening in July 2008 with the exhibition "Bones and Stonewares", we have promoted Yoshihiko Ueda's works through Paris Photo 2008 and photo miami in the cooperation with Michael Hoppen Gallery in London. From 23rd of May, 2009, G/P gallery is proud to present the eight new editions of "QUINAULT" by Yoshihiko Ueda. This series captured the forest of QUINAULT in the early 90s is well known with the photo book "QUINAULT" originally published by Kyoto Shoin and the new prints have been long waited by collectors. Please enjoy the masterpiece of Yoshihiko Ueda on this occasion at G/P galery.

小山泰介個展『entropix』開催のお知らせ
G/P galery では、2009 年4 月24 日(金)より5 月19日まで、小山泰介個展『entropix』を開催いたします。
小山は刻々と変化していく都市を生物や自然と同じような有機体としてとらえ、都市の新陳代謝のような人工物
の表面や状態、現象の細部をデジタルカメラで撮影し、有機的で抽象度の高い写真作品を制作している今最も注
目の作家です。昨年9 月にアートビートパブリッシャーズより出版いたしました初の本格写真集『entropix』に
続き、11 月のParis Photo 2008、12 月のPhoto Miami など世界のアートフェアに出展し、国内だけでなく
世界中から多くの反響を得ました。本展覧会では、写真集『entropix』からの作品を中心に、新作も複数展示する予定です。さらに進化した小山の作品世界をぜひお楽しみください。

このたび東京・恵比寿のアートコンプレックスNADiff A/P/A/R/Tは、写真家・篠山紀信の50年にわたるNUDE PHOTOをリミックスした大冊『NUDE by KISHIN』（朝日出版社／シルマー・モーゼル刊）の発刊にあわせ、ブックショップ、ギャラリー、喫茶＆スナックがそれぞれKISHINと組んだ春の特別全館写真展を開催致します。また、これにあわせ『美術手帖』『広告批評』誌が連動してKISHIN特集を組み、同時発売によって「今、なぜKISHINなのか」を世に問います!!

An art-complex NADiff A/P/A/R/T will hold the spring special photo exhibition on the release of “NUDE by KISHIN”(by Asahi Press and Schirmer/Moserl Publishing), reorganizing the NUDE PHOTO of 40 years by the photographer Kishin Sinoyama. The bookshop, galleries and the cafe will collaborate with KISHIN in each way and the whole building of NADiff will be the meeting place of the show. And also, accompany with this, “Bijutsu Techo” and “Koukoku Hihyo” magazines are going to release their new issues at the same time featuring KISHIN and ask, “Why KISHIN now?” to the world.

G/P gallery では2 月27日（金）より、今世界で最も注目される写真家の一人、スティーヴン・ギルの日本初個展となる『Hackney Flowers（ハックニー・フラワーズ）』を開催いたします。作家の代表作である同名のシリーズは全47 点で構成されており、今回はオリジナルプリントを10 点展示、また本展会期中には同シリーズ全47 点を含めたオリジナルプリントを販売しております。また、ギル本人の出版レーベルである「Nobody」より、絶版本を含むすべての出版物を展示・販売いたします。同時に、アートビートパブリッシャーズより、Lumen シリーズ第３弾として、スティーブン・ギルのHackney シリーズ作品をフューチャーした特別版『THE HACKNEY RAG』を刊行予定。G/Pでは今後もスティーヴン・ギルとのコラボレーションを予定しております。皆様の起こしをお待ちしております。

STEPHEN GILL SOLO EXHIBITION
HACKNEY FLOWERS
G/P gallery will present world's most highlighted photographer of today, Stephen Gill's first exhibition in Japan from Febuary 20th (Fri) entitled "Hackney Flowers." His series under the same name is his representative work
consisting of 47 pieces, of which 10 pieces are exhibited and all 47 pieces are available for purchase during this exhibition. We will also exhibit and sell all publications from his own publishing label,"Nobody" including out-of -print editions. A special edition "Stephen Gill's Hackney Rag" featuring the Hackney series is expected to be published by Artbeat publishers as a third book of Lumen series. We look forward to welcoming you at our gallery.
